About Andrea
For speaking & teaching engagements:
I'm Andrea Hinojosa, a body liberation, bilingual, queer registered dietitian (RD). I was born in La Paz, Bolivia, but grew up in the Chicagoland region and currently live in Cleveland, Ohio.
I am neurodivergent, chronically ill/disabled, and a first-generation Indigenous Latina who grew up below the poverty threshold. I am passionate about decolonizing healthcare and being part of the disability, Latinx/Native/BIPOC, queer, and fat rights movements. When I am not fighting for social justice, you'll catch me traveling, trying new food places, gardening, boxing, dancing, or loving my two dogs, Zen (half-akita and pitbull) and Estella (therapy Corgi pup).
I believe an individual can best tell me what health means to them. Nutritional health is more than just the absence of a disease or the number on a scale. The intersections of oppression impact the health and well-being of individuals and families.
I’m part of The Nourished + Whole Collective, a one-of-a-kind community for humans who desire a loving, joyful relationship with food, body, movement, and self, and are saying “f*ck off” to diet culture!
Founded by Laura Elizabeth Coaching, it is home to 50+ hours of workshops, podcasts, summits, webinars, and courses for members.
Memberships includes coaching by Andrea, all to all content, and peer support. A free 14-day trial and monthly/annual options are available.
Mentor to Mentor Program
I’m redefining mentorship to foster collaborative, two-way learning, whether you’re an established practitioner or just starting your journey. With a strong focus on minority representation, I work to nurture a diverse generation of successful dietitians.
